Final Frontier: Space Pictures From Far Reaches of the Universe

New data from the Chandra X-Ray Observatory of the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC), one of the Milky Way's closest galactic neighbors, reveals the first discovery of X-ray emissions from young stars similar to our sun outside of our galaxy. This composite of X-ray, optical and infrared images shows the stars in a region known as "The Wing" of the SMC. ( X-ray: NASA/CXC/Univ.Potsdam/L.Oskinova et al; Optical: NASA/STScI; Infrared: NASA/JPL-Caltech)Young stars in Chandra X-Ray Picture
