DAILY STIR 1-1-13 “2013,THE YEAR OF THE CHURCH”
I have heard many people say that 2013 will be a year of great grace for the Church (the body of Christ). As I was in a group prayer meeting recently, someone whom I have great confidence in, shared with the prayer group something she believed the Lord showed her.
She said she saw great darkness above a light and then she saw the light come up to become even with the darkness. Then she said the light began to rise above the darkness and the darkness began to dissipate. She said she believed the Lord told her that the church was the light and that 2013 was the year that the church would rise up.
As she shared this the Holy Spirit showed me Isaiah 60:1-5 which says, “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
2-See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.
3-Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
4-Lift up your eyes and look about you: all assemble and come to you;
your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the arm.
5-Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy;
the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.”
Isaiah 60 said that your light has come, and God’s glory arises on you. The earth is full of darkness but the Lord rises on you and His glory appears over you! Nations will come to your light and kings to your brightness! Look about you all assemble and come to you.
Everything I read in this passage in Isaiah 60 says the light comes on you the church.
Matthew 5:14-16 says, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Rise up in 2013 and be the light God has called you to be. He’s given you His authority in the name of Jesus. He’s put His Holy Spirit in you to lead and guide you and He’s given you His Holy written word to proclaim. His word is a light that will keep the devil away and set the captive free!
Be the Light, bright and clean; as the church rises up, in 2013!
